3. What kind of media institution (publisher) might distribute your media product and why?
As spoken about previously on my blog in the 'Press Release' post, I have already researched into potential media institutions for my magazine. I decided that Visionaire would be my chosen institution to publish my magazine. They already own an American magazine called 'V' which specialises in fashion, culture, and music. They feature people such as Kendell Jenner, a well known American reality TV star and model, to Dua Lipa, a British singer who has just managed to get her name heard. They also own VMan which has a prominent focus on male celebrities, such as models, music artists, as well as fashion and culture.

V Magazine is a very high in demand magazine worldwide, but it's only distributed sparsely in the USA. I think that my magazine, with some alteration here and there to fit them, could be a really good investment to them as a company as it will bring them profits and I'd preferably like to target it at a British audience.

I wouldn't want to be owned by a large company such as Bauer Media Group, who own magazines such as Q, Kerrang! and MOJO purely because they're most known for their promotion in rock genre music. I think it's unlikely they'd be able to promote/distribute my magazine to the right places to target the right audience, which would therefore mean my magazine would reach ideal sales and it would no longer be able to be funded. But also, it would almost be ironic for my magazine to be distributed by such a large company when promoting artists with independent record labels. I think ideally I'd have to turn to a smaller company with a more direct focus on a younger audience with interest in what my magazine stands for.
